Mark Childs MRICS
Mark is a Director and a co-founder of HMC.
Mark's early career was as a building surveyor within the public sector, working for the Royal London Hospital and Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, before moving into private practice and becoming a main board director at leading consultancy Herring Baker Harris. Here he established and ran the project management division.
Mark then helped to form HMC where he continues to specialise in design and construction management. Major schemes include the project management of Agriculture House, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, as the new headquarters of National Farmers’ Union (a winner of a major award by the British Council for Offices), the comprehensive refurbishment of 25 Knightsbridge, London SW1 for investment purposes (successfully pre-let to Emirates NDB), the overhaul and refurbishment of Westminster University’s Regent Street campus and management of a 30,000 sq ft grade A mixed use scheme for the Berners Allsop Estate.
Mark’s 30 years of experience in design and construction covers new build, refurbishment and fitting out projects and extends across a wide range of property types including offices, educational, medical, leisure, residential properties and even a sports stadium.
